I stopped keeping track of how many errors and blown opportunities after lap 35. Mercedes were so focused on trying to mitigate Russell's on track errors that they lost track of Hamilton on the track. Russell needs ways too much babysitting to be effective. And when he's being effective, he's really not an ace that can make a difference to gain an advantage. When Hamilton is on, he's the best you'll ever see. The same cannot be said by Russell. Im sorry, but since Russell came to the team, things have gone from bad to worse. Dumping Bottas in favor of Russell was a really bad move in hindsight. Bottas was NOT the best driver but he was one hell of a Development Driver. How many times did Bottas go on to win a race because of a bad Hamilton weekend? How many times has Russell done it? Russell is an Above Average Driver on a team with deep pockets. He hasn't shown his worth. If he doesn't perform in 2025, Mercedes is in deep trouble.

Hamilton has been unfair with Mercedes. Russell is the better driver now.
